Painting Process | @CIGARINN Facade Day One

As a follow-up to my lounge picture, the Gentlemen at @CIGARINN requested I paint the storefront. I began yesterday with what will amount to, I suspect, a three session piece. Early drawing after the jump.

Setting up the angles in this type of composition is critical. I decided to start out with a light green under drawing.

With a few of the basics in place, it was time for the Orange Sharpie to make a cameo appearance.

Starting to explore the interesting reflections created by the metal panels – they can create a fun house effect.

Here is where we are after one day. I am hitting up 2nd Avenue, between 53rd and 54th starting around 2:30 PM today – stop by, grab a delicious cigar, say hello – stay awhile. More progres will be posted soon.
