What is a Louis Vuitton Man Star?
Picture a well dressed, big swinging dick as he and his sharp bag saunter into Rose bar, demanding, “I simply must see the game.”
With a wink and a smile, the sexy bartender flips on ESPN and coyly adds, “nice Louis Vuitton.” Our Louis Vuitton Man Star smiles, takes a swig of imported beer, and says, “I know,” with a pause, adding, “Now move your head, you’re blocking the game.”
Most artists don’t write what they are doing when they are painting… directly on the canvas – and that is probably a good thing. Still, I found myself painting a Louis Vuitton bag while watching football, and thought to myself – OK. This is worth noting. Being into fashion and face smashing is perfectly normal. In fact, this is how you can describe… a Louis Vuitton Man Star.

I’m not sure what Rex Ryan would have to say about this, but here it is, all set up, ready for the Jet’s and Louis.

Before I finished the under drawing, I realized this canvas required an interesting, single toned background – final color TBD.
Beginning with the essential colors, yellow and red – hot blooded canvas, capturing the action on TV.
Switching to Cyan, a simple showdown between CYMK + Primary Colors.
Mixing a dirty red-inspired brown to begin the bag-painting process.
Reds on yellow, creating a small hint of purple – the bag is now primarily complete.
Nothing makes my day like some heavy, black outlines.
Green on top of Red… Santa’s suit beneath a Christmas tree.
Detailing with silver and gold in the writing and the bag hardware.
Another round of outlines and details…
Orange was calling me from a distance, and I had to listen. Orange can be persuasive.
And the final, with some sexy Cyan outlines to make the orange pop. Louis Vuitton Man Star – he always looks good and gets the girl… or the guy… he gets what he wants.
