Hi Marty! I use Liquitex Gel Medium (Matte Finish) to affix the newspaper to the canvas. I lay down a moderate layer of the medium, affix the paper, then apply another layer firmly with the brush. As a precautionary measure, I used to press on the slick paper with my finger to smooth out bumps, but I am now getting better at applying with the brush only. This, of course, makes for slightly cleaner hands. Please feel free to email me if you have any more questions. jason@borbay.com | Thank you for stopping by.
