Last weekend, fellow artist and encaustic extraordinaire Jeremy Penn invited me to Red Hook for a studio visit. He mentioned a gentleman named Todd Masters from Black Umbrellas would be there – and suggested I bring a painting I wanted photographed.
Watching the process was impressive, as Todd managed the camera and lighting with a perfectionist tough. Art photography in of itself is truly a work of art.
If you are on the market for a personable art consulting company with excellent photographic capabilities, I would get in touch with Black Umbrellas. From their site:
“Black Umbrellas is a fine art consultation firm based in Brooklyn, NY. Our relationships with numerous artists and galleries has allows us to provide the critical difference to many fine art projects. We work on a wide scope of cultural and commercial projects not limited by any medium – whether our clients need original, limited edition or custom fine art pieces, we can provide expert solutions to their personal or cooperate fine art collections.”

[...] Newly photographed and looking fine, my take on Vegas, about to become part of the improvisational landscape. [...]
