Another Thursday night, another ARTPROV at the Tank. The brainchild of Rory Scholl, co-founder of the Creative Outlets, ARTPROV is a meeting of the creative minds. With the talented Eric March tickling the digital ivory’s, the Creative Outlets improvise scenes based on six pieces of art – by the artist, creating art, on location. As always, it was a pleasure to take part. Thank you to everyone who came out to watch!
After the jump, the full recap of ARTPROV #2.
Starting off with a painting created for audience members Jim and Liza, two talented and good looking people.
Rory surveys the scene, and wonders why the Wright Brothers’ Birthday wasn’t a complete and total success.
Portrait of the Artist as a Not So Young Man, blown up to gigantic proportions on screen – for the record, it does feel awesome to see your work the size of a wall.
Thanks to my beautiful girlfriend, Erin, the painting process for this small, live-action one-hour painting was captured.
Ah Eustace Tilley, bet you thought you’d never find yourself as part of an off-off-off-off-Broadway show again, considering you were created in 1925 and that you are a fictional character.
Painting away, my mustache is really focusing here.
Larger than life nipples, projected on screen.
Still painting on the side, not shown, cans of Bud Light, aged to less-than-perfection; did you know old Bud Light tastes like Marshmellows?
Another scene, another painting, everybody clap your hands. Clap-Clap-Clap-Clap-Clap.
Newly photographed and looking fine, my take on Vegas, about to become part of the improvisational landscape.
Getting close to the end of the painting with a smile.
The gang, on a musical road trip to Vegas, spring break style – enjoying life.
Oh, too bad, there’s Corda yakking out of the sliding van door before the police produce checkpoint in California.
And once again, the painting from the night. Viva ARTPROV.
