Fortunately, the crushing and costly Team USA Olympic Hockey Loss didn’t have time to linger. Hours later, the old art studio was transformed into a film set by the talented Greg McMahon. On the slate – Jamie Frevele‘s Mellow Drama. Starring both Jamie and hockey/acting maverick Nick Mahoney, Mellow Drama involved no less than thirty seven takes, twelve tall-boy PBR’s and one nearly severed finger. All of the excitement after the jump.
Jamie gets into character, of course, that is her natural hair.
My beautiful woman Erin taking care of business in the kitchen, making her world-famous ziti. Mmmm…
Mahoney, posturing on the couch, doing his thing.
Jamie and Nick get into character and establish familiarity. It is important the viewers believe these two characters are strongly considering a near one-night-stand.
Greg gets the clipboard in play, I loved clapping that thing – a bit too much, and thus received McMahon Film Lesson Number 247 – “don’t slap the board in the actors ear, it throws them off their game.”
Playing a dead guy, I was concerned that Nick might cut me with the butcher’s knife… fortunately for yours truly, he only managed to cut his own hand.
Jamie prays for Nick, but, is really focusing her prayers on the success of this short.
I feel pretty, oh so pretty. Fortunately Erin was there to patch Nick right back up, just in time to play with the girly wig.
Me and the lady, apologies for the bear-bear chest action here… but I had just gotten stabbed and covered with fake blood, and then some real genuine Mahoney blood. When the short is done, you will get the blow-by-blow report here on Borbay.com.

I’m really sorry that I missed this!
Sounds like someone’s working on their HSFF 2K10 entry!
