When people look at me, they see the 180 pound artist with a funky hat, and a “modest to very modest” frame. When I say, “oh, hey, so I was a D1 distance runner in college” – they look at me and say, “wuhhhh??? Juhhhh???? Guh???”

I know. 180 pounds. It wasn’t always like this. Despite my fluctuating weight and previous precocious propensity to dash over 8k, I have always been an artist. So when my artist friends are like, “hey, it’s beautiful out, let’s go painting in the park.” I usually say, “Hey, sweet. Let’s do this shit.” and they say, “Yes would suffice.” I retort, “was that really necessary?” Their response? “Isn’t this part of the creative process? Huh? Isn’t it?” And I’m all, “Dawg. For real? Whatchu talkin’ bout next? The best ensemble for a deep colored leather L-shaped couch?” In response, “Guh?” Let’s leave it at yes, hot dogs from street vendors will give you palpitations.

So to the painting. You will see part of the composition recently focused in my MAD Museum painting. Trump International Hotel and Tower, in front of the Time Warner Center, flanked by the stunning 15 Central Park West, and the Hearst Building.

Tablarasa. Few people out garnering Vitamin D. After the jump, how it came to be. It is the canvas. The canvas is the world. The world is subject to creation. Jump.

A red wash. A simple outline. Basic. Linear. Crooked linear.

Block it out. Out block. Block party.

Get the blues. Blues brothers. Tree line. Shady trees. Trees make shade. Slim Shady.

Making the skyline real. Making it nice. Ari is standing there without his shirt, not so nice.

Jeremy starts his painting. Ari shows off his shirtlessness. My canvas wonders… can Ari get a girl to chat him up?

Draw in the curvilinear structures yo. Carve. Curve. Hit Hit Hit. Wait, what?

Dahhhhh Nahhh Nahhhhhhhhhhhhh. A bikini girl rudely steps into my process shot, trying to talk to Ari.

Trees please. Please trees. No pleased trees. Is too many See-Oh-threes, minus one, is CO2.

You can blue me in the morning. You can blue me in the night. You can blue me when you want to blue me. Blue me. Blue me all night.

It’s done. Like a medium well burger left on the grill for too long. Toooooo long.
