  My Take on “I ♥ NY” on New York Times and Gawker | UPDATED General Action | Comments

  I can never resist a good challenge, particularly when it comes to NYC. After reading a call for I ♥ NY submissions on The New York Times, I hit the shop. Photoshop. Since I paint to capture New York, I thought it was time for Gotham to capture my paintings. Dutch doors.   Hakker Short Film Festival This Sunday, Be There! Collaboration, General Action | Comments

  This Sunday, I will be hitting up the Alibi Lounge to check out the Second Annual Hakker Short Film Festival.   My Summer on Canvas, Around the City, Around the World General Action | Comments

  As an artist, referring to a painting as the recently departed is a very good thing. My first painting of the summer, The Apple Store, was acquired by a collector in Japan days after a write up in the Wall Street Journal Japan. The rest of my summer was spent further exploring collage painting, revisiting an acrylic only approach, and working on commissions I cannot yet reveal to the public.   Sheep Meadow Painting and New Yawk Tee General Action | Comments

  Here is a view of my most recent location painting, Sheep Meadow with George Steinbrenner Keeping an Eye on Things. Here is the process post with a hastily assembled video. And, I am happy to report my sweet New Yawk Tee has arrived! As soon as I have more time, I will get a good, proper shot of this fine piece of hotness in action. Note: I am referring to my New Yawk shirt, not myself... of course, I will never shake a stick at being referred to as a piece of hotness.

  I must say, I was amped when I saw Ryan Seslow's latest work - the New Yawk Tee. They are pretty damn sweet. Obviously you should buy one, just like I did.   Sometimes it takes a friend to get you out the door for a terrific day in the park. This past Saturday, that friend was Ari Lankin, and that park was Central.
