FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY and Washington, DC – November 3, 2010 – Time Out New York’s Most Creative New Yorker 2009, location artist Jason Borbay, has created a series of twelve portraits featuring inspiring educational leaders for The College Board. The collective work, featuring — Anne Sullivan Macy, Booker T. Washington, Clark Kerr, Ella Flagg Young, Father Theodore Hesburgh, Horace Mann, Jaime Escalante, John Dewey, Mary McLeod Bethune, Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, Sequoyah and Theodore Sizer — was unveiled at The College Board Forum, which took place on October 27-29 in Washington DC.
Additionally, the paintings were featured in a limited-edition poster designed by Borbay, which were distributed to over 2,000 educators from across the country at The Forum 2010. All twelve paintings will hang in The College Board headquarters lobby in New York City. In the coming weeks, the details of this project will be shared visually and contextually on Borbay’s website.
