  I Be Paintin in Jamaica, Runaway Bay Mon Painting Process | Comments

  Ah, holiday. My in-laws-to-be were kind enough to bring Erin and I along with them to Jamaica. Beach vacation means 10"X10" beach paintings. We stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe, in Runaway Bay. It is a practically brand new resort. We left the resort for a visit to the Appleton Rum plant, as well as a trip to Dunn River Falls. But my painting took place on the resort.   We Love Japan Influence Series Benefit Live Painting To Be Auctioned Painting Process | Comments

  Not many organizations can put together an incredible benefit on THREE days notice. This reality, of course, does not apply to Mike Mancini, his team and The Influence Series. Gild Hall shot to life minutes after 6PM, with complimentary cocktails flowing thanks to Chivas Regal — and I set-up my easel to capture the action real time. Last summer I was fortunate to receive this wonderful feature article in the Wall Street Journal Japan, which lead to the acquisition of my Apple Store Painting.   Painting Process | Piata Universitatii in Bucharest Painting Process | Comments

  Sometimes recreating a place, experience and moment in time requires the marriage of multiple images. Since I was unable to travel to Romania to paint University Square in person, we had to get creative. This particular commission began with an inspiring Gheorghe Leahu water color of University Square in Bucharest serving as the point of departure. For a car loving collector, I quickly added three new elements in Photoshop: A Dacia, Trabant and Alfa Romeo.
