If you haven’t seen the BTK Band, I seriously recommend it. Even having seen some Youtube clips, I had no idea how bonkers this thing was in person. Of course, I had the pleasure of capturing it first hand on a 16″X20″ canvas in 2.5 hours, as seen above. Hell, I even contributed to the show, not without some tribulation…

Starting the night off right, Carlsberg and Twitter. Yes, this makes me a wannabe Danish nerd.

Pete gets the audience wound up with some NYC tunes.

Get ready for some of the most washed out, over flashed process shots. I was literally painting in the dark.

Laying down some deep blues to establish the stage and setting, David Lynch style son.

Banging out the background, establishing the setting in the ever present primary triad. Painting wet (an appropriate term for this type of show).

In no order, Killy discussed rather calmly dildos and birthday anal sex.

Splashing some lights, you can see in the BTK logo how the paint is mixing right on the surface.

Up close, flashed out in the ear.

Yes, a burlesque dancer (Lady Scoutington?) was about two feet in front of me on top of a speaker.

Getting close, finally put a small flashlight on the wall to help me see the final bits.

A good view of the scene and the light I was actually painting in, half of the canvas was on the dark side of the moon.
