  While Joe Flacco and Tom Brady were busy exchanging sacked lunches, Ryan Seslow and yours truly were hosting the opening reception for “Street Legal – Gratiffyti: Seslow & Borbay on Canvas” at Iona College.   Iona College Art Exhibition Preview, Gratiffyti: Seslow & Borbay, Opening Sunday 1.22.2012 Collaboration, General Action | (1)

  This Sunday, January 22nd, from 1:00-3:00 PM, “Street Legal – Gratiffyti: Seslow & Borbay on Canvas” will open at Iona College. Taking place at the The Brother Kenneth Chapman Gallery Iona College Arts Center, this exhibit will explore a NYC inspired street style, on canvas, with a focus on portraiture. My self portrait anchors the wall opposite the entrance. This piece was completed in January 2010, and stylistically set the compass for the ensuing two years.   Borbay Paints Two Pictures at Disney’s Festival of the Masters Presented by Michaels Collaboration, Painting Process | (3)

  Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of representing ARTPROV at Disney's Festival of the Masters, presented by Michaels. I was commissioned to paint two 24"X36" canvases: one a compilation of the six, live 20-minute ARTPROV shows; the other — a parkscape of Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island.   ARTPROV Performs at Michaels Corporate HQ in Dallas Collaboration, Painting Process | (1)

  On Wednesday, October 12th, the ARTPROV team performed a one hour live show for the staff of Michaels at their Dallas corporate headquarters. The brainchild of Rory Scholl, director and performer, ARTPROV is an three-part improvisational comedy show: while six improv skits are performed based on six paintings, Eric March guides the troupe with his improvised piano playing, while a new painting is being created based on the show by yours truly.   Artist In The World, Never Ending Art Trip, Borbay in the Studio Collaboration, General Action | (2)

  A few days ago, artist and photographer André Smits stopped by the studio to take my portrait... from behind. I am now part of his global art project entitled: "Artists In The World". André and I got connected through my good friends over at Happy Famous Artists — which is how Mr. Smits has been finding all of his artists, not through a list, but through word of mouth.   Manhattan Mural at Jake’s Saloon, West 57th Street and 10th Avenue, by Borbay & Penn Collaboration, Mural, Painting Process | (4)

  The owners of Jake's Saloon commissioned Artist Jeremy Penn and yours truly to create an old-tyme Manhattan scene on the 11X26 foot exterior brick wall at their 875 10th Avenue location, at the North West corner of West 57th and 10th Avenue. We relished the opportunity to make our mark on the Manhattan landscape. Here is a partial video of the painting process... unfortunately, it only captures the first two sessions.   Painting Process Video, House of Haiku With MrJeffDess and Calvin Booker Collaboration, Painting Process | (2)

  Last night, The House of Haiku rocked-out the Brooklyn Historical Society in an hour-long show. MrJeffDess delivered inspiring, "80's babies" haiku, while Calvin Booker provided not only the beats, but some Apollo Theater recognition-worthy tap dancing.
