  Painting Process Laura’s Favorite Place in Larchmont New York Painting Process | (1)

  Here is the second painting in my Larchmont, New York commissioned series for the wonderful Hoffman family. This particular 24"X30" canvas is painted from the perspective of sitting in the hot tub... and is aptly entitled, "Laura's Favorite Place". This is view from sitting in the tub... which served as the central perspective point. This is Laura's favorite place, so I wanted to capture the views at magic hour. Did you say process video?   ARTPROV Performs at Michaels Corporate HQ in Dallas Collaboration, Painting Process | (1)

  On Wednesday, October 12th, the ARTPROV team performed a one hour live show for the staff of Michaels at their Dallas corporate headquarters. The brainchild of Rory Scholl, director and performer, ARTPROV is an three-part improvisational comedy show: while six improv skits are performed based on six paintings, Eric March guides the troupe with his improvised piano playing, while a new painting is being created based on the show by yours truly.   Borbay Brands Bomb Wines, Painting and Branding Process Painting Process | (0)

  Earlier this year, I was contacted by Jim Carney and Susan Weeden to discuss their new project — Bomb Wines. My name was kindly sent their way by former American-Record holding steeplechaser, art collector and friend George Malley. After a few conceptual meetings, we decided to move forward with a commissioned collage painting and logo design for Bomb's first wine release: a 2009 Oregon Pinot Noir.   Recently, I was commissioned by the fine folks at Advertising Week to create a Manhattan-centric collage-painting for their 8th Anniversary. To promote Advertising Week, they created an ad featuring my painting, which can be found in Bloomberg's Business Week, AdWeek and Fast Company.   Manhattan Mural at Jake’s Saloon, West 57th Street and 10th Avenue, by Borbay & Penn Collaboration, Mural, Painting Process | (4)

  The owners of Jake's Saloon commissioned Artist Jeremy Penn and yours truly to create an old-tyme Manhattan scene on the 11X26 foot exterior brick wall at their 875 10th Avenue location, at the North West corner of West 57th and 10th Avenue. We relished the opportunity to make our mark on the Manhattan landscape. Here is a partial video of the painting process... unfortunately, it only captures the first two sessions.   Three years ago, I was working as Business Director for Fantasy Interactive. At the time, my life revolved around clients, projects, proposals, SOW's and presentations. Today, I paint for 4-7 hours a day and spend a solid 1-3 hours a day evangelizing, promoting and selling my work. This agency experience and my current role served as the catalyst for showing my #KingsOfHipHop art exhibition at the offices of Publicis Modem on 9/15.   OG Portrait of WOZ, Creative Must Sell to be Creative Painting Process | (0)

  As co-founder of the world's (almost) most valuable company, Woz dishes a just dessert: "Creative things have to sell to get acknowledged as such". Whenever the words "Creative" and "sell" are in the same sentence... well, it just warms the cockles of my heart. As for this creative item? I have painted Mr. Wozniak in a moment of youthful exuberance, set amidst, in front of, and behind his words. A happy birthday to Mr. Wozniak, and three cheers to the financial success of creativity for one and all.
