  Coming up next in my dope actors kicking ass in monster roles: Daniel Day Lewis as Bill The Butcher in Gangs of New York. When I first saw this movie back in college, I instantly became obsessed with DDL's performance. So intense. Here is the photograph of the still from the movie — this is an important reveal scene, where the Butcher sees Dicaprio for the first time as he emerges from a fire saving a pal.   Courtesy of The Silicon Alley Insider, my new favorite advertisement. The Alamo Draft House has exploited a valuable paradigm in the digital age: if you put it out there, it can and will be used.
