FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, NY - August 24, 2009 - Manhattan-based location artist, Borbay, will be painting the facade of ESPN Zone, NYC in Times Square, on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. He will begin at 11:00 AM, and will continue until the picture is finished, or until he drinks three or more beers. This menagerie of stretched canvas fibers has neared completion. As you may recall, this is where I left off with the Guggenheim painting. Yesterday marked yet another sunny Sunday of painting on Fifth Avenue with my business Manager, Tim. A special thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, friends and new friends alike. This symphony of red and gold graphically carved into a piece of cardboard represented everything a picture should be. Simply put, I had to have it. A quick glance at my bank receipt showed a total savings of $54.12, which I estimated to be approximately $19,999,945.88 short of a possible sale price. Realizing it would take me at least three weeks to save up the difference, I set out to recreate Charles Demuth's picture and make it ...

Realizing I would never have the liquid to own such a profilic piece, I set out to recreate Five in 2003, with a few small differences. Stay tuned for the play-by-play.
