I'm pleased to release my latest commission: The Chrysler Building at Magic Hour. This painting was based on a series of photographs taken from the Rare rooftop bar one fine, late-spring evening. If you like to have it all... here is the entire process in a video, in just over 80 seconds. Keep reading for a photographic breakdown of the process. This was the primary source image, however, I referenced several pictures taken at varying points from sunset to darkness. This picture helped me identify the colors lost in the night shot. Getting married was the finest experience of my life... and it has everything to do with my bride — Erin. Her folks, Jeanne and Tom, hosted our dream wedding in their Minnetonka, Minnesota backyard this past July. I couldn't think of a better moment to capture than this image of my wife smiling in the backyard where she grew up and where we were married. On Monday, I requested a location with a view on my Facebook Wall and my HS friend, music executive Theresa Notartomaso, responded immediately. Thanks to Theresa, my easel and I found ourselves in front of a stunning view on the 19th floor of Headroom Digital's studio on 26th and Madison.
